Our Story

We love crêpes. It all started with a simple craving for great crêpes…

We are a team of young entrepreneurs with a dream to revive the art of eating crêpes. We started traveling around the world looking for the perfect crêpe, and everywhere we could find crêpes we ate them. We then decided to take matters into our own hands and hunkered down in a kitchen experimenting with batters, temperatures, ingredients, and timing. Consequently, we developed over one hundred crêpe recipes with flavors from all around the world. After that, maybe it was the sweet smell of delicate batter cooking, or maybe it was the over consumption of Nutella, but the drive to bring this business into reality could not be stopped. Sweet Paris Crêperie had begun, and we were on a mission to sweeten the world!

Our actual mission is To Revive The Art Of Eating Crêpes. With this goal in mind we set out to build a tranquil beautiful French industrial chic space that would keep the focus on the plates and would be conducive for families and friends to indulge together. To revive this art we realize that a crêpe is a canvas, and the perfect delicious crêpe is a result of artistic cooking and using high quality ingredients.

Traveling around the world opened our eyes and reminded us that there are children in need of food elsewhere. Inspired by other successful entrepreneurs that have for-profit businesses with a built in social cause we decided to fight hunger with hunger and decided that Sweet Paris crêpes would feed twice, and we made ourselves a promise…

Our promise. Eat Here, Feed There™ For each crêpe with the WFP logo World Food Program Logo, Sweet Paris will donate one school meal to a child in need through the World Food Program USA. For more information please visit our Eat Here Feed There™section.

EAT HERE, FEED THERE

For each crêpe with the WFP logo, Sweet Paris will donate one school meal to a child in need through the World Food Program USA.
Eat Here, Feed There.

Sweet Paris has contractually committed to donating school meals to the World Food Program USA. As of March 2013, Sweet Paris already donated over 60,000 school meals. A small donation is a big impact. EAT a crêpe HERE, FEED a school meal THERE.

Eat Here, Feed There™ is about making everyday choices that help feed the world. We do this by building a set donation into the cost of each participating crêpe, which then enables us to donate one school meal to a child in need. Currently, the cost of a fortified school meal through the WFP is $0.25 per meal.

Sweet Paris is a for-profit business with an integrated social cause. The crêpes we serve at Sweet Paris and the school meals we donate through the World Food Program USA go hand-in-hand – one element cannot exist without the other. We are committed to serving you the most delicious crêpes as well as donating school meals through the WFP.

We partnered up with the World Food Program USA in order to accomplish this goal because we believe there is something powerful behind fighting hunger with hunger. To learn more about hunger in one minute, click here.

To the world one meal may not mean much, but one meal may mean THE WORLD to a Child.

Six million children die of hunger every year, and a sif the world xth opopulation is malnourished. There are already many forces at work trying to make hunger a problem of the past, and we want to help. Even if our help is small in comparison to the overall need, we decided to start here and enlist attention to the cause. Every meal counts. For more information on hunger please visit: http://www.wfp.org/hunger

We chose the World Food Program USA because they are the best at what they do. At any given moment there are 60 aircraft, 40 ships, and 5,000 trucks being operated by WFP in order to fight world hunger where it is needed the most. The WFP has over 50 years of experience and is responsible for feeding over 90 million people annually. For more information please visit: http://usa.wfp.org/our-work

We were particularly attracted to the School Meals program because a school meal does so much more than just feed a child, it helps fight the poverty cycle by promoting education. Many schools in poverty-stricken areas of developing countries lack cafeterias, and a meal provided by the school may be the only food a child receives. The promise of a school meal promotes regular attendance, and parents are motivated to send their kids to school instead of keeping them at home to work or care for their siblings.

Among the key beneficiaries are girls, who otherwise may never be given the opportunity to learn. To learn about School Meals in two minutes please click here.

There are so many ways to continue the fight against world hunger, and we encourage you check out the World Food Program USA’s “Get Involved” site for more information about those opportunities. http://usa.wfp.org/help/how-help
